Market Capture

Market Capture is a standalone Chrome extension (v0.6) that captures Amazon product-detail-page evidence into a JSON package. It is independent of AP4, never modified by the Hosted Build OS, and has no field for a Shopify store's own brand -- everything it captures is evidence, not confirmed Product Truth.

1. Install the extension (local/unpacked)

  1. Download the extension folder: Download market-capture-extension.zip
  2. Unzip it somewhere on your machine.
  3. Chrome → chrome://extensions → enable Developer mode.
  4. Click Load unpacked → select the unzipped market-capture folder.

No Chrome Web Store package exists yet -- this is the only install path in this phase.

2. Capture one product

  1. Open a supported Amazon product page (amazon.com/.ca/.co.uk/.de/.co.jp, a /dp/, /gp/product/, or /clp/ URL).
  2. Click the toolbar icon to open the side panel → Capture Current Page.
  3. Review the capture card (View JSON / Copy JSON), or click Add to Batch to keep going.

3. Capture a batch

  1. Repeat "Capture Current Page → Add to Batch" across as many Amazon products as you want.
  2. The batch list at the bottom of the side panel shows every product captured so far.
  3. Click Download Batch JSON for one file containing every captured product (market_capture_batch_v1).

4. Upload to a project

Upload either a single-product JSON (market_capture_v1) or a batch JSON (market_capture_batch_v1) -- the importer auto-detects which shape you gave it.
